CABO SAN LUCAS

Here Are Our Recommendations For Cabo San Lucas Hotels.

This list and blog might be long overdue but it’s finally here! Let’s get right into it.
From San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas and all the hotels that are in between in the corridor we have our top picks that we think you might want to check out. If you are planning on coming to Los Cabos and haven’t decided on a hotel yet let us help you make your decision.
This of course is based on our personal experience babysitting at these hotels. What are we taking in consideration? Location, Service, Aesthetics and is it really kid friendly???
Ok, since location is everything let’s start with Cabo:
In my many years of experience and babysitting I found that there’s a lot of activities for everyone in Cabo. Swimming with dolphins, spending a day in Medano at the beach, maybe taking a boat for a tour to the arch, or taking a catamaran or yacht to have a full day at sea, snorkeling, paddle boarding with the whole family. Cabo really has everything for the whole family so if this is your vibe keep reading our recommendations here.
(Please note this is all based form personal experience and this is not in any particular order but to help you narrow your options)
Waldorf of Astoria. This hotel has an absolutely amazing view of the pacific ocean and the pedregal mountains. The service and food is great, not to mention the Farallon restaurant is a must if you want a romantic dinner.  The family pool and kids pool are perfect to spend your day at while you order some yummy lunch. I’ve been babysitting at this hotel for the same family for years and we always have a great time. The hotel layout is very easy to navigate and kids love going to kids club to do some activities. Can’t go wrong with this hotel and definitely checks all the boxes we take in consideration.
Hacienda Beach Club and Residences. This hotel is also prime location for Cabo is located on the marina which makes it have Medano beach right in front of you. Honestly it may get a little crowded and busy at Medano beach but you can’t beat having so many restaurant options, water activities plus swimming in the ocean here! It’s the perfect beach to swim and play in the waves with the kids. The hotel and residences are also super charming and definitely have the hacienda vibe to it but very luxe. Staff is super friendly and the food is excellent! This one is perfect for the whole family here in Cabo, no questions asked. We are so happy as well Hacienda recommends us as your trusted babysitting company!
Solmar Resorts.
This one is three in one, you have Grand Solmar, Playa Grande and just outside the cabo area is Grand Solmar at Rancho. They are all part of Solmar Resorts but they are different and separate hotels, let’s start with the two that are right next to each other.
Grand Solmar. is the last resort on the baja peninsula its right next to Lands End there for the name. It has beautiful views and mountains since this one is also on the pacific side. It has multiple pools to spend the day, seriously it has like 5 big pools so you can have many options. I of course love going to the kids pool and playing there with the kids. It’s a big hotel with many restaurants and rooms, perfect to go for a walk and explore since it’s so close to the Marina of Cabo this is a great option. You can choose all inclusive with these ones but we highly recommend going out to different restaurants and doing activities outside the hotel. (We have a more in depth blog post about all inclusive, if you are interested)
Next is Playa Grande. The neighboring hotel to grand solmar, this hotel is also very big and has plenty of pools and activities. Probably it is more for like big family and friends that get together here, there’s always activities at the pool area, whether you like to get involved in aqua aerobics, trivia, tequila volleyball and many other activities. This is the hotel for you, I also babysat here for many years and I had always had a great time with the kids at this hotel, I would take them for walks on the beach and find sea shells plus we always spotted whales or sea lions, obviously play for a long time at the pool and the cherry on top for me is going mini golf they have a fun full designated area to do so. Bonus points: you can walk to the marina from these two hotels I mentioned.
Last but not least from the Solmar group is Grand Solmar at Rancho. This hotel is *chef kiss* The looks of the rooms and views are beautiful and the pools, restaurants and spa. You name it, they clearly wanted to have this feeling of having everything on site since honestly it is kinda far away from Cabo downtown and they nailed it. There’s a big pool that imitates being on the beach since you can’t really swim at the actual ocean here since it’s on the pacific side. You can even kayak and paddle board in this pool. Plus they have a great pool for kids/toddlers and big for bigger kids,  two water slides! This is a great option if you want to be far away from all the buzz of Cabo but please note that this hotel is far away, It’s on the highway to Todos Santos and for this reason we do have a daily gas fee of $30 USD.
Esperanza Auberge Resorts. This hotel and villas are absolutely amazing to say the least, so many different pools to choose from, so many restaurant options with breathtaking views, the ocean and rocks look so beautiful from anywhere you look here. This hotel is quite big since it’s merged between the Villas, Hotel and Residences which is why a golf cart is the way to go if you want to go explore. Bonus points: you know how much kids love going on golf cart rides. There’s so much to do here and you can truly relax at this hotel enjoying the pool and sunny days. Kids club has many activities and they love going to the koi pond to feed the fishes. I’ve been babysitting here for many years as well and I truly had days full of activities and fun with the kids! Only downside for us is they are super strict with outside services so adding your sitters as your guest is a must. (Please note that in any hotel you check in you have the right to have guests they can’t deny their access unless its a all inclusive resort)
The Cape a Thompson Hotel. This hotel has a direct view to the famous Arch in Cabo San Lucas, you can spend the afternoon at the infinity pool looking at the beautiful Lands End enjoying the sunset and maybe watching some surfing with a drink in your hand, doesn’t this sound amazing? Of course we will be happy to assist you so you can have some adult time while your kids are being taken care of. In my experience this hotel definitely has a more adult vibe to it but many families with kids have stayed here. Personally I think  this hotel is perfect if you have a baby. The service and restaurant is amazing and the Spa is also a must. You can truly relax here and have the best view of all Cabo!
